When Green Monkey Grinders was first brought on as a house brand for Ooze Wholesale, the marketing team was tasked with a rebrand. In my personal brainstorming session, I came up with the idea of naming the each type of grinder (grinder series) after different monkey species. Each grinder is paired with a monkey which helps to tell its story, unique traits found in each monkey are used to describe different features of the grinders. For example, the mandrill series was named because the mandrill monkey has a pouch in its mouth to store food for later, similarly the grinder has a spout to pour out the needed herb and save the rest for later.

Additionally, it was decided that we were going to donate to a monkey sanctuary to donate to monkeys in need. I specifically was
tasked with finding this. After thorough search, I successfully started the partnership with the Vervet Monkey Foundation, to which
Green Monkey is an official sponsor. A Green Monkey is a real monkey sub-species, part of the larger vervet monkey species; it
makes perfect sense to partner with a foundation set on rehabilitating and providing sanctuary to over 500 vervet monkeys.
The Vervet Monkey Foundation is a leading foundation in terms of health and rehabilitation, they even started the first
foster program for orphaned monkeys that were implemented in many sanctuaries all over the world. I was really proud to help
foster this relationship and personally seeing that each sale of a Green Monkey Grinder goes to help monkey's in need.
